FREE 2018-LDS Primary Sharing Time Assignment Bands

I got sick of filling out the primary bands every sunday, so I filled them out for the whole year.

I wrote the dates, put the themes on the talks, and the assigned scriptures, in the back I put blank bands incase we need them, or incase someone using this has more assignments then we do.

I hope this helps you, please share with a primary presidency that you love and save them tons of time. Pinterest HERE Facebook HERE

The free printable is down below. You can also purchase on Etsy HERE if you want to support me in my designs.

Thanks

Paper Nativity Craft

This craft is fun and easy to make and share. We like to mail them missionaries, soldiers that are deployed during Christmas, and other loved ones that live far away.

1)take any piece of paper
2-3)fold it one or two times to the length you want
4-6) then one or two times the other direction to make it square
7-8) now that your paper is square fold each corner to the center
9-10) then fold just the tip of each point back
11-12) flip it over and put Baby Jesus on top

1) take a paper fold it in half and cut a notch out of both sides then unfold
2) with white side face up, fold the top of the paper down
3) fold in half with colored sides facing each other
4) bring corner of the folded top down and fold down leaving a
bit of white on the folded side, same thing on the other side
5) fold each side in on the loose edge
6-7) one more fold that looks like this on each side
9) if it stands up  you did it right
For the WISEMEN glue anything to look like treasure
For the SHEPHERDS and ANGEL use pipe cleaner
For MARY you can cut the bottom down to make her shorter

1) this is the folder that doubles as a background
2) take a manila folder and cut it into this shape
where my thumb is holding the envelope that is where you fold up
3-4) here are close ups 3 of the left side 4 on the right side
5) fold the edges, glue them and place your people inside

I hope you have fun creating these and sharing them!
Christmas is a special time to celebrate the birth of
Jesus Christ and this craft is perfect for the season.

May the true spirit of Christmas be with you

A Night with the Patriarch

For this Relief Society Activity we decided to do an activity centered on Patriarchal Blessings.

We started by asking the Patriarch in our ward if they would come talk to us

Then we gave the sisters an invite encouraging them to read their Patriarchal Blessings or if they haven't received their blessing yet to study about Patriarchal Blessings. We invited all sisters to come with questions.

Also here are some questions that you can give to your patriarch to prepare

-What is a patriarchal blessing
-Why is linage important
-Who may give a patriarchal blessing
-Who may receive a patriarchal blessing
-How old do I have to be for a blessing
-How is the blessing given
-How do I get a patriarchal blessing
-How do I know if I’m ready
-How can I prepare
-When will all the promises in my blessing be fulfilled
-Will all the promises in my blessing be fulfilled
-Should I let others read my blessing

Print off the invite in Black &White  or color, HERE

Relief Society Activities Committee Planner

This is my most recent calling at church as you can probably tell by my latest posts. I love this calling! I love planning events and this calling fulfills me. On the other hand, my life is also SUPER BUSY. I have 4 kids and they are all still young and have many needs for me to attend to. I also have my relationship with my husband that I need to devote time to. I just find these days my time needs to be used wisely so that its not being taken away from the people I love most.

For this reason, I was hoping our meetings would be efficient and our committee has met those expectations. They are so awesome! For our planning our meetings we meet an hour exactly. We come on time, we end on time, and I just love it :) We have learned to be super productive in our meetings and this agenda will only help maximize our time together.

I was able to whip this up really quick. It has everything we need and nothing more. It is four pages front and back, has a lovely cover and a monthly activity planner page for each month.

It also has a page where you can list Sister needs that the RS Presidency and the Bishop have shared with you, followed by a space to keep a list of activity ideas you have. AND there is a page that has a checklist of things that you can go through for each activity to make sure you've planned all the details, and haven't missed anything.

Thank you for your interest in this design, if you do decide to use this awesome design please share this post on your social media so others can use it too. You can get this PRINTABLE by clicking the words Please Share :) Just print the file double sided front and back, and then fold in half. Hope you love it and thanks for dropping by! While you are planning check out two of our ideas!

SERIVE AUCTION - while I have been to many, I enjoyed our version the BEST!

A NIGHT WITH THE PATRIARCH - What a beautiful and spiritual night

Service Auction - Relief Society Activity

For our Relief Society activity we decided to do a Service Auction, and it was so much fun that I had to share it with everyone!

We had the woman in our group earn points the weeks before our activity. This is the sheet we used

Everyone also donated service. Some people Donated Baked Goods - Rolls, Cookies, Cupcakes, and Cheesecake which took the top bid. Other things donate were....
Cleaning Bathrooms
Babysitting
Girls Night out
Family History Help
Dinner
Photography Session
Chinese Lessons
FHE Message

I have the certificates we used below along with the sheet we used
to sign up for donations AND later we used it to record who took everything

After we recorded who received all the service. We passed the sheet around a few weeks after the activity so that everyone could get in contact with each other.

Also that night, after we gave the woman who were on time their points, we had them total their points and just subtracted their points when they came up to get their certificate.
THE KEY to a successful night is to find a fun Auctioneer and Vanna White.
Vanna White should model all the items even if it is just the certificate and help the Auctioneer see people who are less aggressive bidders

The Auctioneer should keep the night lively, fun, and moving.

Our Auctioneer was Witty and fun and made our night a HUGE success!

HERE IS ANOTHER IDEA WE DID A NIGHT WITH THE PATRIARCH

Quotes to Inspire

I heard two quotes this week that really inspired me and I decided to make some designs to print off and use around my house

Here is the first one from Elaine S Daltons talk at the 185th General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

I love this quote because as a mother and house wife the routine and become tedious and there isn't much acknowledgement for the things you do. But this gave that encouragement and fire to do my part WELL, to do it the best I can, because my part does matter and it is important

Also the symbols on this quote are significant. This is called a "magic square" and each of those symbols stand for a number. (Count the sides of the polynomials and that is the number it stands for the x is 10 and the || is a 2) You can then add the rows, columns, or diagonals and all three numbers will add up to 18. This adds to the quote because if you move any of the numbers it will no longer add up to 18 in all directions and no longer be a magic square. Every number has in important place and their place matters!

Here is the second quote from David A. Bednar from the 185th Conference of The Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

This quote just inspired me to think deeper about sin, and I loved how the metaphor added to my understanding of sin. I thought it was worth sharing as well.

If you want to be inspired, there were many good talks at the 185th Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I love doing designs like this for my house, and I love designing wedding announcements too!
